Final Typography

We have finally found a way to get the typography that we wanted, we decided to go with this one:
We went with this one as we felt that it fit with our sequence the most and that it gave it a more triad sort of feel. To get this we had to go into photoshop as this was were it was downloaded to and then make all of the titles in there, we wrote in what we wanted and then threw the white background in the bin so that there wasn't one. We then had to save it as a PSD document then go into Final Cut Pro, and import the credits and just put it where ever we wanted it to go. We also created a 'Bin' in Final Cut Pro to put all of the text in so that it did not get confusing.

Evidence of Work

This is a shot of us editing on Final Cut Pro, it is showing the final edits of the credits. We had to create them in photoshop as they were not downloading in Final Cut Pro. This process included typing the credits in one at a time for example 'Closure' for the title, then going to the layer bar and dragging the background layer and deleting it so that there was no background. Then simply save it in your user then import into Final Cut Pro and there you have your credits. We created a 'Bin' to put the titles in as suggested by Jack so that it does not become too clustered.

This is simply a close up of the file in which i put all the credits in. It is simply so that you can see clearly that we have created the credits in a different way then in Final Cut Pro. We have used the type called Oska- Sans. we used this as we felt that it had a Chinese feel to it but it wasn't too cheesy and same-ie.
This shot is showing that we are using Final Cut Pro and you can see that in the corner the music is being sorted out, and you can also see everything that we have imported for our sequence and that it is all named. For the music we decided to not use the whole song as we did not want to have the lyrics in it so Si Hin worked his magic and cut up the song and repeated certain bits of it so that it flowed.
This is a shot of our storyboard up on blogger and us referring to it to organize out credits. It also shows you how we did the the credits on photoshop, and that we were constantly referring to our blogs and Final Cut Pro, this shot of photoshop is of when we had already deleted the layer and just as we are about the save it and then import it into Final Cut Pro and put it into our sequence.
This is a shot just as we are near the end of finishing off our sequence. This shot shows you all the stuff on the side which we have imported and also you can see in the editing bar everything that is in our sequence where and when we have out it. I think that this one is a good insight into how we are doing.

07/02/11

Today we had an hour to do some work and we wanted to find some font but we were having trouble finding the right font to use..we are all really fussy!!
When we did find the right font it would not download into final cut pro properly so we then had to choose another and another and it all got really annoying so decided to go into it again with fresh eyes.
These are some of the fonts that we wanted to use but wouldn't download:
This one is called Blood Shack
 This one is called Osaka
This one is called Taibaijan

This one is called Konfuciuz

However these are all the fonts that we liked the most and thought would work best they do not download into final cut pro so we are going to have to find another font to use which is going to be really annoying because there aren't many good fonts out there!
